The quality and relevance of your training is responsible for the results you are currently getting.

The environment you prepare in is critically important to your success as a tournament professional. At the PGA, we sat down and looked at the commonalities of all of the successful golf programs past and present. Every program has a high standard of coaching in a highly organised and structured environment. The aim was to create a program that aligns with the PGA values of professionalism and excellence that will allow maximum technical, physical, mental and tactical development.

Program Outline

The Program is based at the PGA Academy, at the PGA Golf Learning Hub campus located at the Sandhurst Club.

  • 4 days per week of group training (Monday – Thursday) featuring 18 hours of group training per week with other PGA student athletes, these are like-minded individuals to ensure the standard of training is always high
  • 3 hours of 1 on 1 coaching per week, scheduled outside of group training
  • 36 hole golf course access 7 days per week
  • Unlimited range balls
  • Weekly physical preparation training sessions with a physical preparation coach
  • 3D biomechanical analysis
  • Access to the PGA Academy facilities including the Indoor Golf Centre
  • On course lessons with a coach focusing on strategy, tactics, decision making and pre shot routine

What are the program dates?

The program aligns with Victorian school term dates.

2024 – Term 4

Monday October 7th – Thursday December 12th = 10 weeks

2025

Term 1

Monday February 3rd – Thursday April 3rd = 9 weeks

Term 2

Monday April 28th – Thursday July 3rd = 10 weeks

Term 3

Monday July 21st – Thursday September 18th = 9 weeks

Term 4

Monday October 6th – Thursday December 11th = 10 weeks

Who can enrol?

The Program is suitable for the aspiring golfer off a low handicap or professional player looking to train in an elite environment. The Program is available to both domestic and international golfers.

Where can I stay, do you have accommodation available?

We can assist you to arrange a home stay family on site here at the Sandhurst Club. A fee is negotiated between you and the host family that will include accommodation and some meals. The Sandhurst community has a network of over 1,000 homes.

Can the PGA assist with VISA applications for international golfers?

We can provide directions to the appropriate sources however we can’t do the application for you. Please note there is usually a small processing fee charged by the Australian government for international visitors.

Fee Structure

Payment is made on a per term basis as outlined below. Fees are inclusive of coaching, golf green fees, golf membership, range balls and physical preparation programs.


**The program fees do not include meals, accommodation and transportation. These are at the players own expense.
